8 He handed him the official decree from Susa about their planned destruction to show Esther, then told him to urge her to go see the king and beg for the people: "Remember, he said, the days when you were poor and how I raised you; Haman, who's second only to the king, has spoken up to get us killed. Call on the Lord, talk to the king about us, and save us from death."
