Effective date: May 15, 2026.

Bible Babel keeps your reading, highlights, notes, and prayers on your device unless you enable iCloud sync. Shepherd chat history is not saved after the current conversation.

We do not sell personal data, serve ads, or use ad tracking.

We collect minimal operational analytics so we can see whether the app is working and which broad features are used. Analytics events do not include a persistent analytics ID, the verses you read, search text, note text, highlight locations, prayer text, or Shepherd chat text.

Diagnostics may include app version, build, device family, platform, broad OS version, distribution channel, feature name, timing, purchase state, and normalized error codes.

Shepherd sends the selected passage context, your question, and recent messages in that chat to generate a response. We use that request to answer you, not for advertising or feature analytics.

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud database and synced by Apple using CloudKit. Apple manages the encryption and access controls for iCloud.

Payments and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.

If you contact support, we receive the information you include in your email and may use it to respond and improve support.

You control your data. You can delete local data by removing the app. You can delete iCloud-synced data by turning off iCloud for Bible Babel in system settings and choosing to delete its data from iCloud.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date here.
