9 So right then, in the third month—Sivan—the 23rd, the king's scribes got the memo and drafted everything Mordecai ordered: letters to the Jews, plus the governors and princes from India to Ethiopia across the 127 provinces, sent to every region in its own script, every people in their tongue, and the Jews in their own writing and language.
