5 Before he even turned to leave, the captain said, "Head back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan—the guy the Babylonian king appointed governor over Judah's cities—and hang out with him among the people, or just go wherever you feel like it." Then the captain handed him some food and a gift and sent him on his way.
