24 The chef lifts the thigh and the trimmings, lays it down before Saul. Samuel says, "Look, this is what we kept back! Set it before you and dig in; it's been saved for you for this exact moment, 'cause I said, 'I'm the one who invited the crew.'" So Saul sits down with Samuel and eats that day.
