15 Then Johanan, son of Kareah, pulled Gedaliah aside in Mizpah, dropped his voice low, and said, "Let me go take out Ishmael, son of Nethaniah—make it clean, no one sees a thing. Why let him kill you, scatter the Jews gathered here, and wipe out the last of Judah?"
